بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Du’a is the essence of worship. Through the blessed teachings of Rasulullah ﷺ , Allah Taalà has taught us du’as for every moment and circumstance of life, drawing us nearer to Him and preserving the bond between servant and Creator.

Du’a keeps the heart alive with the remembrance of Allah Taalà and allows the servant to turn to Him at all times. It is a most beloved and elevated form of ibadah, by which Allah honors His servants with the privilege of conversing with Him. How fortunate is the one for whom the door of du’a is opened, for with it the doors of Allah’s mercy are opened as well.

This kitaab is a compilation of Duās and supplications taught to us by Sayyiduna Rasulullāh Sallallāhu Allaihi Wasallam صلى الله عليه وسلم when undertaking a journey. They were translated by Moulana Anas Qāsmi, the son of the respected Moulāna Abdul Quddoos Sahib, an Ustādh of Tafsīr and Arabic literature at Darul Uloom Zakariyya, South Africa, from the Dua compilation tittled ‘ الدعاء المسنون ‘ by Mufti Irshād Qāsimi Rahmatullāhi Allaihi.
