Ṣalawāt, i.e., Durūd Sharīf is one of the most unique and blessed forms of worship. It is great, it is blessed, and it draws countless of mercies upon those who recite it.

Under the guidance and counsel of Mawlānā Shabbīr Aḥmad Saloojee dāmat barakātuhū, Maktabah Al-Imaam Al-Ghazali have put this brief work together for the īṣāl aththawāb of Rasūluḷḷāh ﷺ , the blessed family of Sayyidunā Muḥammad Rasūluḷḷāh ﷺ , the glorious Ṣaḥābah رضي الله , the Shuhadāʾ, and the illustrious ʿUlamāʾ of the Ummah.

This brief work should serve to build interest, enthusiasm and desire to recite the full version. Furthermore, we hope that it serves to create waves of waves of love for the greatest of humanity, Sayyidunā Muḥammad Rasūluḷḷāh Rasūluḷḷāh ﷺ, the beloved of Aḷḷāh ﷻ and the best of the creation.

Testimonial of Dalail al-Khayrat:

In Madina, there is one person name Sayyed Shaukat Ali Noori, he has strong connections with Dalail al-Khayrat and sacred lands.

Once, Abdul Jabbar narrated an incident that occurred in Madina Munawwarah. One of his disciples from India came for Umrah and was reciting Dalail al-Khayrat Shareef in Madina. Beside him sat a young Sudanese man who watched him attentively. This young man seemed curious and kept looking at his watch while Abdul Jabbar’s disciple was reciting.

After the recitation, the Sudanese man asked him, “What are you reciting?”

The disciple explained and showed him the text. The Sudanese man asked to see the last page of the book, where it mentioned some phrases. He exclaimed,

“Where did you get this book from? It’s almost impossible to find here.”

The disciple explained that while visiting Jannat-ul-Baqi to pray Fatiha, a gravedigger had approached him and handed him the Dalail al-Khayrat. The Sudanese man expressed great interest in meeting this gravedigger, so they both went together to meet him. The gravedigger explained, “Every few months, we exhume graves to prepare them anew. If we find any belongings, we preserve them. One day, I found this book in a grave, untouched and intact, so I kept it. When I saw this gentleman (the Indian disciple), I felt he should have it.”

Hearing this, the Sudanese man began weeping uncontrollably and pleaded to be taken to that specific grave. The gravedigger explained that it would take 2 or 3 months before the grave could be reopened. The Sudanese man waited patiently, and when the grave was eventually reopened, he cried out,

“This is my father’s grave! I had buried him with my own hands in Sudan. SubhanAllah!”

This incident exemplifies the blessings and miracles/Karamah of Dalail al-Khayrat, showing how Allah ﷻ can connect the hearts of believers across lands and bring divine occurrences to Noor.
