Imaam Nawawi Rahmatullah Alayh has compiled these 40 Ahaadeeth (with emphasis on perfecting one’s character).

Mufti Shafee Saheb Rahmatullah Alayh mentioned that Imaam Nawawi Rahmatullah Alayh realised that there is a decay in the environment and hence, compiled such Ahaadeeth that will show the prevention and cure from the problems that the Ummah is suffering from.
