بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Doctors working in hospitals are in very close contact with their patients. They routinely witness patients passing away.

Dr. Noor Ahmad Noor (Nūr), as a young doctor working in the hospital attached to Nishtar Medical University in Multan, Pakistan, made a point of researching some 100 deaths to find out what the conditions of those passing away were at the time of death.

He was shocked at the results of his research, that only three out of the hundred patients had passed away reciting the Kalimah Tayyibah.

Very concerned at this sorry situation, when he went into retirement, he compiled this booklet.

In this booklet he has noted down anecdotes of people passing away. These are anecdotes where either he himself had witnessed instances of people passing away, having first-hand knowledge; or where others have related to him by having witnessed these events themselves.

Quite wisely, Dr. Noor Ahmad Noor has also noted down some incidents not related to death, but related to the importance of the du‘ās of a mother.

Dr. Noor Ahmad Noor passed away in 2002. May Allāh Subhanahu wa Ta’ala grant him Jannatul-Firdoze.

May this booklet be a source of isāle-thawāb for him.

May Allāh Subhanahu wa Ta’ala give us the reality of death. Let us all prepare for it before it’s too late.
